Goal & Objectives
STUDENT WELFARE  FUND:
The College operates this fund with the objective of rendering financial assistance to needy and deserving students of the College. Assistance is usually given inthe form of textbooks etc.Students seeking financial assistance are required to apply to the head of the institution and an income certificate of parent/guardian has to be attached along with the application.

GOVT. SCHOLARSHIPS :
Students belonging to SC.ST.OBC.are entitled to Govt.scholarships .The scholarship hold rs are required to observe strict discipline and maintain regular class attendance.

UGC Sponsored lshan Uday Scholarship:
Those students who are not availing or are not eligible for any of the scholarships mentioned above may
apply for the UGC Sponsored Ishan U y Scholarship .

Book grant
All the departments havedepartmental libraries and share a common book bank supervised by the College Librarian. Apart from issuing books from departmental libraries, book grant is also provided to the needy students from the book bank for one academic session.

Remedial classes
Apart from the general and tutorial classes of normal routine, there is provision for remedialclasses for
subjects in which student's performance isfound to be poor.

Career Counseling
This cell lays stress on creating awareness among students regarding career opportunities,self employment, entrepreneurship development and higher study prospects outside the state.The cell also organizes workshops inviting professionals to deliver lectures on future prospects and placement of students . Programmes of career counseling, particularly for final year students are organized at regular intervals for the degree level students.

Coaching Classes for Entry in Different Services
The College has been providing coaching for entry into certain jobs to the outgoing student as well as
educated and unemployed youth either free of cost or at nominal cost.

Study Tours
Study tours or field trips are organized from time to time by the departments.The tours are meant either for field study or for educational excursions.

*National scholarship (on all India basis)
*State merit scholarship (on all Assam basis)
*Scheduled caste/ schedules tribes scholarship. OBC/MOBC scholarship (As prescribed by the project director, ITDP. In addition to the above scholarship, the following scholarship, prizes & certificates are awarded to the brilliant students of the college.
*UGC sponsored Ishan Uday Scholarship for the meritorious students in both Arts and Science, specially to the region of North-East India from the year 2015.
*.Memorial scholarships:
1.Anuradha Baruah Memorial Merit Scholarship of Rs. 5000/-will be awarded at the end of the 6th semester by the Department of Education to the highest scorer in the Semester Examinations. The family members of Late Anuradha Baruwa contribut the amount required for the scholarship.
2.The Department of Economics introduces the following scholarships from the academic session 2015-2016 for students securing highest marks in 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters.
a.Mahandra Nath Bordoloi Memorial Merit Scholarship : An amount of Rs. 2,000/- will be awarded to the student who secures highest marks in Economics Major in 2nd Semester Final Examination.
b.Dulumoni Mahanta Memorial Merit Scholarship : An amount of Rs 2,ooo/- will be awarded to the student who secures highest marks in Economics Major in 4th Semester Final Examination.
c.Kanak Chandra Tamuly Memorial Merit Scholarship : The student who secures highest marks in Economics major in 6th Semester Final Examination will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,000/-.
3.The Department of Political Science introduces the following scholarships from the academic session 2016-2017 for students securing highest marks in 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters.
a.Nagendra Nath Chaudhury Memorial Merit Scholarship : An amount of Rs. 2,000/- will be awarded to the student who secures highest marks in Political Science Major in 2nd Semester Final Examinations. Marks secured below 60%, however, will not be considered.
b.Indra Prasad Sahu Memorial Merit Scholarship : An amount of Rs 2,000/- will be awarded to the student who secures highest marks in Political Science Major in 4th Semester Final Examination. Marks secured below 60%, however, will not be considered.
c.Dhaniram Borah Memorial Merit Scholarship : The student who secures highest marks in Political Science Major in 6th Semester Final Examination will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,000/- Marks secured below 60%, however, will not be considered

4.The Department of English introduces the Charu Borah Memorial Merit Scholarship : The student who secures highest marks in English Major in 6th Semester Final Examination will be awarded a Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000.00 (Five thousands) only. Marks secured below 60%, however, will not be considered.
Besides these, the departments have their individual schemes of scholarships and financial aid
